Roger Albert Clark Rally 2023

The Roger Albert Clark Rally is a gruelling 5 day event that starts in Wales and finishes in Carlisle.

Competitors face the ultimate rally challenge covering 33 stages, the last stage on Monday was 38 miles long, a true test for the crews.

At the finish on Monday the event had lost star drives such as Kris Meeks, Osian Pryce, Oliver Solberg and Chris Ingram.

The event also witnessed a very special car, a genuine Lancia Stratos. One of only two rallying in the world at the moment. Steve Perez nearly lost his life in the car when it burst into flames a few years ago. However the car has been fully rebuilt and Steve handed the keys over to his son, Seb Perez to drive on the RAC

The overall winner at the end of the rally was Martin McCormack and Barney Mitchell in their Ford Escort Mk2. Marty has won the event on three previous occasions, and proving his talent again in 2023.

Second place went to Cathan McCourt and Liam Moyniham, finishing 5mins 30sec behind McCormack in a Ford Escort.

The final podium position went to Jason Pritchard and Phil Clarke in another Ford Escort.

The RAC will return again in 2025.
