Malcolm Wilson Rally 2024

The Malcolm Wilson Rally, nestled in the breathtaking landscapes of the Lake District in Cumbria, is renowned for its scenic charm. Hosted at the M-Sport Complex, both the starting and finishing points, this rally unfolds as a captivating spectacle.

Adding an exhilarating twist, the event marked a notable departure by commencing with two night stages on the Friday evening, setting a unique tone for the competition. As the inaugural round of the Protyre BTRDA Rally Series, the rally attracted seasoned competitors vying for victory.

In the Gold Star category, Elliot Payne and Patrick Walsh emerged triumphant with a stellar performance, clocking an impressive 45 minutes and 33 seconds. Vivian Hamill and Lorcan Moore secured the second position, trailing 38 seconds behind, while Scott Beattie and Peredur Davies claimed the third spot, finishing 1 minute and 25 seconds adrift.

The Silver Star classification witnessed Andy Davison and Tom Murphy clinching the top spot with a commendable time of 51 minutes and 51 seconds. Ben Jemison and Dave Jackson secured second place, just 1 minute and 52 seconds behind, while Steve Korky Ward and Philip Sandham claimed the third position, concluding the race 3 minutes and 56 seconds later.

In the Bronze Star division, Callum Black and Jack Morton seized the lead with a time of 52 minutes and 36 seconds. Nigel Jenkins and Karen Jenkins closely followed, finishing a mere 22 seconds later, and the third position went to Will Banks and Matthew Baddeley, who crossed the finish line 4 minutes and 22 seconds after the leaders.
